Two years in the making... Months of researching, writing, photographing, testing, editing, working with designers, more testing and more editing to get this baby out to you guys! I feel humbled by your amazing support, by the support of all those around me who believe in me and in this work. 

This book is a cleanse program, a recipe book and a guide, set out over four weeks to empower you to take your health into your own hands, to learn to listen to your body's signals and to eat some delicious meals! It's not about making restrictions or counting calories, but rather about finding your body's innate ability to heal through practicing kindness and love towards yourself, through the food you eat and the mindset around it. 

This is the way I've eaten for the past six years to manage my autoimmune condition. I'm still on my own journey back to full health and this way of eating is a great base to work from. You don't have to have a diagnosed disease to benefit from this program, on the contrary, my mission is to shout from the rooftops - 'You don't have to wait to be diagnosed with a chronic disease before you make some positive changes to your diet and lifestyle!!!'

I wish I'd had the knowledge and the inspiration to do this in my late 20s, early 30s, but I didn't... And believe me it's much harder working back once you're body is in a disease state. It's so much easier to nurture and nourish your body now!

Today I want to share one of my favourite recipes from the 28 Day Mind & Body Reset . This one is great to enjoy making with little ones, savour with a cup of herbal tea in the afternoon or pop in packed lunches. 

Grain-free Coconut Cookies

  • 2 bananas
  • 1 cup desiccated coconut
  • 1/4 cup roughly crushed almonds
  • cacao nibs

Preheat the oven to 160°C. Mash the bananas with a fork and stir in the remaining ingredients. Using a spoon, scoop out small amounts of 'dough' onto a baking tray lined with parchment paper. You can gently flatten down with the back of the spoon for cookie shapes. 

Bake for 15 minutes, remove from the oven and transfer to a cooling rack.

Enjoy while still warm!
